Rhinoplasty, or a nose job, is one of the most requested plastic surgeries. Millions of people have gotten surgical refinements to the shape of their noses. The procedure is effective for making significant changes to how the nose looks, and it can improve breathing issues like a deviated septum. However, it’s a major surgery with significant recovery time and a high price tag.

For people who only want small changes to the nose, a non-surgical rhinoplasty might be an option. Sometimes called liquid rhinoplasty, this procedure is much less invasive and comes without the high cost and difficult recovery.

Can I Get a Nose Job Without Surgery?

A non-surgical rhinoplasty is an in-office procedure where a skilled dermatologist or plastic surgeon uses injectable dermal fillers to reshape the nose. The procedure typically uses dermal fillers like Juvederm or Restylane. The filters can be used to make subtle changes to the nose. Results are immediate and last for about six months depending on the type of filler used.1

The process is a lot like any other appointment for dermal fillers. It usually takes less than an hour, you are awake for the whole appointment, and you can return to normal activities immediately afterward. You may experience swelling or bruising after the procedure, but that tends to heal within a few days.2

What Can Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty Do?

Liquid nose jobs are ideal for people who want to make small changes to the shape of the nose. Fillers can be placed to address minor asymmetry, smooth out the appearance of bumps, or add volume to the tip of the nose.3

Non-surgical rhinoplasty cannot make the nose smaller. Fillers, by their nature, add volume when they are injected. For example, fillers can add volume above a bump to make the overall slope of the nose look smoother. However, a liquid nose job cannot remove large bumps or narrow the bridge of the nose.4

How Much Does Liquid Rhinoplasty Cost?

The cost of a non-surgical nose job varies. Many doctors charge based on the amount of filler used in the procedure. The cost could range anywhere from $600 to $1500 or more.5

Liquid rhinoplasty is significantly less expensive than surgical rhinoplasty, which can cost as much as $10,000. It’s important to note that liquid rhinoplasty isn’t permanent. Your body will absorb the fillers, and the results will fade. If you want to maintain the effects of the liquid nose job, you will need to have it refreshed every six to 12 months.
